IMMI Turbines has vast experience in full refurbishment of either our own surplus equipment or customer provided packages. Our staff has gained their experience while working for the OEM in their refurbishment shop or under the employment of IMMI Turbines. When we receive a purchase order for a customer owned Package Refurbishment or IMMI Turbines supplied Package Refurbishment, we provide a complete and detailed configuration of the completed turbine package for customer review, input, changes, and comments. At IMMI Turbines, we listen to our customers and provide exactly what is requested and agreed upon.
When reconditioning a turbine package, our quality assurance staff takes digital photos of the before or as received units prior to any work being started. All missing equipment is noted and reported to the customer. All major components will be removed (gas producer, power turbine, accessory drive, gear box, etc.) then assigned to the appropriate department for 100% zero time and overhaul testing. The remaining turbine skid is completely dissembled, cataloged and inventoried. As each item is removed from the turbine skid, a rework traveler is prepared to follow each component through the rework process. As part of the ISO-9000 process, traceability is critical, therefore each item is serialized to achieve traceability. All electrical wiring, electrical conduit and tubing are removed and scrapped. A new wiring harness with new electrical schematics with wiring diagrams will be provided as a part of the refurbishment process. All electrical components will be removed, tested and recertified.
Once the turbine skid is completely stripped of all components, the skid is sent to our sandblast shop and stripped to white metal. After sandblasting the stripped skid is sent to our paint shop for primer and acrylic latex paint. Our paint color is a standard 'desert beige'. Per request, paint color can be changed at no charge. After final coat of paint the turbine skid is moved back to refurbishment and reassembled with the overhauled equipment.
After reassembly, oil and start up filters are installed and the turbine package is flushed for eight (8) hours to remove potential foreign objects prior to engine start up. When quality assurance is satisfied and signs off on all pre-start conditions, the turbine package is sent to our test facility for comprehensive testing.
