Many of the existing gas turbine packages installed in the U.S. and the rest of the world were originally designed and constructed with a relay logic control system. As most of the operators of this vintage equipment know, it is very difficult to troubleshoot when you have electrical problems. In addition, spare parts support for this equipment is becoming more difficult.
IMMI Turbines can remove your old relay logic control system and replace it with a state of the art PLC based control system that is easier to troubleshoot and supportable for many years to come. We allow our customers to select the optimal PLC controller they have standardized. IMMI Turbines does not push a preference. If a customer standardizes or chooses an Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, or any other PLC, it is completely up to our customers.
When performing a PLC retrofit, we remove the existing control system, whether it is skid mounted or in a free standing console. We remove all of the electrical conduit and wiring throughout the complete turbine package. Both electrical switches and pressure switches are removed and replaced with transmitters on an easy access rack. New electrical conduit and wiring are installed in the turbine package along with stainless steel tubing and fittings. New electrical schematics and wiring diagrams are provided for each control system retrofit performed by IMMI Turbines.
Copies of the new turbine control systems software are provided to each customer.
